TESL NIGHT (A Night that Unites All) 2010.
20/03/10
M-Suite Hotel, Johor Bahru
TESL night is an annual event organized by second year TESL students.
It is a traditional for TESL students to organize this event because it is a night for four batches of TESL students to get to know each other.
Besides, this night is also to welcome the first year student and bid farewell to the final year students.
Organizers of this event will invite TESL lectures as well.
For this year, our TESL coordinater, Dr Zaidah and her husband had attended the night.
Besides, Dr Hadina, who had taught us Oral Communication Skills when we were in first year had attended during that night as well.
The theme of this year TESL night is "Floral of One Malaysia - The Night That Unites All".
Therefore during that night, most of the Teslians wore flowery outfits.
For this event, I even bought a flower hand band and a flower hair clip during my last trip to Singapour.
Besides, I've chosen a flowerly dress to be wore for that night as well.
And.......I've curled my hair for the first time in 24 years.
Even though I'm not quite used to my curly hair, but I kinda like it. I looked more mature in curly hair.
However, many felt that straight hair is more suitable for me. Maybe they have get used to my straight hair since.....LONG time ago..
But I really wanna go for a try to change my appearance, starting from my hair.
I haven't change my hair style since I was ....in primary three, I think.
So who knows when I get my first salary, I might curl my hair permanently.
Oh ya, I curled my hair for RM25 that night, which I was quite satisfied of it.
We had great fun during that night, and we sang three songs on the stage.
Because we were so busy with our assignments and thesis, so we did not prepare for any performances.
So during that time, my coursemates prepared three songs and photostated the lyrics for all of us. Then we just sang, with the lyrics on our hands.
They even prepared an Indian song called "Shava shava" (if I'm not mistaken) and Raja, our 3rd year junior demonstrated Indian dance infront of us.
Apparently, all of us followed and danced with him. Haha, it was quite funny, but we had fun.
Besides dancing, singing and having feast, we took a lot of photos.
It's our final year, what do you expect? Haha..
Thanks to Izyan, my coursemate who did a slide show of all of us, with pictures that we had took during all four years.
It was quite a touching moment when they showed the slides..
I never knew that we've been through so much during these years.
We've been through Minggu Haluan Mahasiswa during first year, organising TESL Nigh together during second year, as well as attending a course at Penang, practising for drama during third year and final year..now we've gone through BIG camp, tough thesis period and presented our thesis..
There were So MUCH so much memories of us together..
Even though I'm still not close with some of them, but I'll always remember them as my coursemates, who had been through the four years of TESL courses with me.
Even though I had unhappy memories with some of them, but I've forgive and forget, especially during this time when we are about to be apart.
Diane, I'll always remember you as my ex-roomie who had been staying in the room with me for three years and went through teaching practical with me.
Siew Fong, thanks for helping me through this final satge of my study...you've gave me a lot of courage and support..
Eliyana, I'll always miss you, especially the way you call me "chu pei" ah...
For the other coursemates, thanks for calling me "wushu girl", but I'm actually not as tough as a wushu girl.
For my present roomie, Julee, thanks for helping me to arrange my notes when I went to the BIG camp and bare with me for my messy lifestyle when I was working on my thesis.
Thank you, thank you...thank you for being my coursemates, thanks for giving me all the unforgettable memories..hugs~
